Founder / President / Investigator

Troy Green is the founder of Safe Haven OK, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting survivors of human trafficking and child exploitation. Based in Norman, Oklahoma, Troy brings a powerful combination of lived experience, professional dedication, and academic achievement to his work. Having survived a childhood spent in foster care and on the streets, Troy has turned his personal adversity of abandonment and abuse into lifelong advocacy for others facing harm and injustice.

He is a former law enforcement officer and licensed Private Investigator, certified in Human Trafficking investigations. He is a high-ranking martial arts instructor with over 40 years of training and 30+ years teaching, coaching, and conducting seminars while holding black belts in multiple disciplines. Troy graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2025 at the age of 58, earning his degree in History with a minor in English, and will begin his graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma Graduate School for Criminal Justice in the fall of 2025. His next chapter includes advanced studies and expanded legal and social justice work.

Through Safe Haven Oklahoma, Troy is building a survivor-centered network that offers support, protection, and a pathway to healing. His work is guided by one mission: to be the advocate, protector, and mentor he once needed.

Chris McMahan

Christopher McMahan is a seasoned security and operations professional with over a decade of experience spanning the military, private sector, and nonprofit work. A U.S. Army veteran and former Infantry Squad Leader, he has led teams in high-risk environments, developing deep expertise in tactical operations, leadership, and mission-driven performance.

His civilian career includes serving in armed security with both the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations, providing executive protection, and working as a CLEET-certified armed bail enforcer and private investigator. He is highly skilled in personnel training, crisis response, and safeguarding vulnerable populations.

Christopher currently serves as Vice President of Safe Haven Oklahoma, a nonprofit organization that investigates human trafficking and sexual abuse. In this role, he applies his extensive operational background and compassionate leadership to support survivors and drive systemic change.

He holds an MBA, equipping him with the strategic and ethical leadership tools to build strong teams and community-centered initiatives.

Deeply committed to community service and advocacy, Christopher dedicates his life to protecting the vulnerable, standing up for the voiceless, and building safer, more just environments for all.

Medical & Healthcare Leadership Advisor – Safe Haven Oklahoma

     Mindy Green brings nearly two decades of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership to her role at Safe Haven Oklahoma. With a diverse background spanning critical care, medical-surgical, oncology, palliative care, long-term care, and community health, she offers both clinical expertise and executive leadership insight that strengthen the organization’s mission to combat child exploitation and human trafficking.

    Currently serving as a Nursing Supervisor at Norman Regional Health, Mindy oversees medical-surgical and palliative care units, leading staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-centered care strategies.

     She also chairs the Med-Surg/Oncology Unit-Based Council, where she has successfully advanced staff engagement, operational efficiency, and policy improvement across complex care environments. 

     Her knowledge of Oklahoma statutes related to medical care ensures that Safe Haven’s operations remain compliant with state healthcare regulations, particularly in survivor-centered medical support and evidence documentation. This legal and regulatory awareness allows her to bridge clinical practice with advocacy, safeguarding both survivors and the organization’s mission.

     In addition to her healthcare career,       

Mindy has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Troy Green Enterprises, Inc., where she gained valuable experience in nonprofit finance and organizational governance. This dual expertise in both healthcare and business operations enables her to contribute strategically to Safe Haven Oklahoma’s sustainability and long-term growth.

     Mindy is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Oklahoma Nursing Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Executive Nursing at Chamberlain University. 

     At Safe Haven Oklahoma, she plays a vital role in aligning medical expertise with survivor advocacy, ensuring that every survivor receives compassionate, trauma-informed, and legally sound care. Her leadership enhances inter-professional collaboration, strengthens medical oversight in investigative processes, and contributes to a safer, healthier community for Oklahoma’s most vulnerable populations.
